Terms and Conditions for Entry into the South West Hair & Beauty Awards

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before submitting your entry to the South West Hair & Beauty Awards. By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. Eligibility:

  • The Awards are open to individuals and businesses operating within the hair, beauty & barbering industry. Specific category eligibility criteria may apply and will be detailed in the category descriptions.

  • Entrants must be [Specify geographic limitations, e.g., residents or businesses operating in the South West England.

  • By entering, you represent and warrant that all information provided in your entry is accurate and truthful.

2. Entry Process:

  • To enter the Awards, you must complete the official online entry form available at www.southwesthairbeautyawards.com

  • All required fields on the entry form must be completed.

  • You may enter multiple categories, provided you meet the specific eligibility criteria for each category. A separate entry and fee are required for each category entered.

  • Supporting portfolio, such as photographs, videos, client testimonials, and other relevant documentation, may be requested as part of the entry process for certain categories. Please ensure these materials comply with the specified format and size requirements.

  • The closing date for entries is 30th June 2025 & 31st July 2025 for portfolio entries. 

3. Entry Fee:

  • The entry fee for each category is £18.50 (inclusive of any applicable Value Added Tax).

  • Payment of the entry fee must be made online via credit/debit card at the time of submission.

  • Entries will not be considered valid until the entry fee has been paid in full.

  • Entry fees are non-refundable, except in the event that the Awards are cancelled by the organisers.

4. Judging Process:

  • Entries will be judged by a panel of independent experts in the hair and beauty industry.

  • The judging criteria will vary depending on the category and will be outlined in the category descriptions. These criteria may include factors such as technical skill, creativity, innovation, customer service, business acumen, and overall impact.

  • The judges' decisions are final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the judging process.

  • The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions or is deemed to be inappropriate or offensive.  

5. Awards Ceremony:

  • Runners ups and winners will be announced at our prestigious award ceremony on 26th October 2025. 

  • Attendance at the Awards ceremony is not mandatory for winners, but it is highly encouraged.

  • The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the date, time, and venue of the Awards ceremony due to unforeseen circumstances.

6. Use of Entry Materials:

  • By submitting an entry, you grant the Awards organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your submitted materials (including photographs, videos, and written content) for promotional purposes related to the Awards, including but not limited to website display, social media, and marketing materials.

  • The organisers will make reasonable efforts to credit the source of the materials where appropriate.

  • You retain ownership of the copyright in your submitted materials.

7. Liability:

  • The Awards organizers will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred by entrants in connection with their participation in the Awards or attendance at the Awards ceremony.

  • Entrants are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary insurance coverage for their participation in the Awards.

8. Data Protection:

  • The Awards organisers will collect and process personal data from entrants in accordance with the [Specify Relevant Data Protection Legislation, e.g., UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)].

  • Your personal data will be used for the purposes of administering the Awards, communicating with entrants, and promoting the Awards.

  • We will not share your personal data with third parties without your consent, except as necessary for the operation of the Awards (e.g., sharing entry details with the judging panel).

9. Amendments:

  • The Awards organisers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the official Awards website.  

  • By continuing to participate in the Awards after any amendments have been made, you will be deemed to have accepted the revised terms and conditions.

10. Governing Law:

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.  

  • Any disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.  

By submitting your entry, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
